Birthday Wishes with May

SIMPLICITY Sister, May, has two cards for us today featuring cute birthday wishes and fantastic techniques to achieve one layer, clean and simple style!

May Sukyong Park b and w

For this first card, May used a masking technique to achieve a one layer wintery birthday card.  She combined three different stamps sets to create her scene (30-104 Sweet Wishes, 30-110 Bugsy and Owly, 40-162 Crystal Pattern).  She says, “I almost added some glossy accents to the balloon. But I’m glad I only applied some glitter on it instead.”

Here’s a step-by-step guide so you can try this technique, too!

For her second card, May used the same theme but a different background.  This time she made her own stencil using the Creative Die, 51-009 Dots, and applied some texture paste over it.  She also added some glitter to the dots to give extra interest.  It’s beautiful in real life!

Here’s a closer peek at her card.  Don’t you love all the dimension/texture from the dots?

We sure are inspired by each of May’s creations today and hope you are, too!
